The start of a new year...and the start of a new writing unit! Over the next several weeks, the children will be immersed in poetry and become budding poets. Today we spent much of the afternoon reading poems and noticing what poets do. We came up with this impressive list:
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as I am always amazed at the poems the children are able to write once they've had the opportunity to try some new things in their writing!
