Our Fabulous Field Trip!

Today we had the opportunity to visit the mangrove at Pasir Ris and beach at Changi. We spent most of our time in the mangrove, where we saw a number of things that we didn't expect, like crabs, mudskippers and holes made by mud lobsters. We heard cicadas loud and clear and wondered what some of the unpleasant smells were. We also saw some of the human impact on this habitat, such as plastic bottles on the ground and young trees ready to be planted.

Many thanks to the parent volunteers who were able to come today- and sorry that I didn't get pictures of all of the groups. It was an interesting outing that gave the children a lot to think and talk about and add to the booklets that they brought along.
