Our First Visit to Happy Lodge

Service learning is an important element at our school, and all of the grades are involved in some way with both local and global organizations.

Last Friday we went to Happy Lodge, a home for the elderly in Tampines. We had seen photos from last year and spent time thinking and talking about what it would be like:

Once we arrived, the children sang a couple of the songs that they've learned from Ms Imogen. Some of the residents even clapped along! After that, the children passed out cards that they had made in class. It was a great way to meet some of the residents, some of whom we hope to see when we return on Friday.

We are looking forward to getting to know the residents at Happy Lodge!
